The NEXEDGE Kenwood NX-P500 is a small, light and powerful UHF 2W 6 Channel digital transceiver. Ideal for business, retail, hospitality, hotels, education and the restaurant industry. Put your employees in touch with each other. With a lightweight and compact body (approx. 5.6 ounces) and a slim and comfortable design this one fit's in the palm of your hand. A powerful 2W maximum transmission output makes for easy reception, even in open and larger spaces. The 2 watt digital portable has KENWOOD audio, digital AMBE+2 for excellent voice quality and enhanced coverage, and a powerful 750 mW speaker, assuring crisp, clear voice communications, even in noisy environments. 

A second PTT lets users toggle between analog and digital operation in the same radio. This allows users to migrate at their own pace, with one radio at a time, a work group or their entire fleet of radios. A large, bright, backlit 8 segment display and the unique 7-LED status indicator make at-a-glance visual checks much easier. Rugged and Submersible, this radio is compliant with 11 U.S. Military Standards (MIL-STD) and is IP67 rated for protection against dust and immersion. Mixed Mode operation allows that enables communication with both analog and digital units, making the switch to digital go smoothly. This promotes a simple method for transitioning to digital operations at your own pace.

    I have always been happy with products built and sold by Kenwood and these 2-way radios are no exception. Good clarity, good distance and just the right size. Highly recommend. We currently have the TK3230 and wanted to move over to digital and this is the perfect radio. They work with our older models.
